Minilogin with Local Server Help

Post by bud168 » Fri Sep 04, 2009 5:46 am

Hey guys, Im new to the site and love the idea of running a local version of EQ2 to tinker with... Im a little confused about how to run a local world though.. I ran the nice bat server program that John Adams wrote before I did any configuring and it ran great.. Right now I have MYSql setup with a EQ2 DB that is populated with tables, I have merged my MiniLogin script and minilogin connects to the DB, I am able to login to EQ2 using my username and password I added to the database, but now i need a World.. Im a little confused at how I run a world locally since most of the docs in the forum are geared towards online settings. Any help would be appreciated.. Oh and Im running the EQ2 version installed right from the TSO CD's.

Thanks

Dunno about that, might need to wait on one of the other brain boxes coming up with that one, but why not just use it normally [online]?

Sorry i don't have an answer...

But you could try editing the bat to run the server and if there's a url to here, maybe replace that with your ip/localhost?

Bud, if you are using the ServerPack posted in Releases, you should not need to do anything but run 1, 2, 3 bat files and log in as admin/admin. That package is turn-key LAN play for MySQL/Apache, LoginServer and EQ2World.
