Login Server returned a fatal error

Hi there eq2emulator. I've been lurking around these forums and read the guides and tutorials but now I've encountered a problem.
When I run world.exe I get this message:
Login Server returned a fatal error: Bad password
Now I have checked alla possible passwords that it could be but I still recieve that error. What could be the cause of this problem?

Did you edit your ini files?

EDIT: the server works now, LethalEncounter helped me
BUT I cant choose race, appearance or town when I create a character. :/ I have the real EoF DvDs
EDIT2: I see, my client is too new http://eq2emulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=141
