Login Rejected: What does this mean?

Most of the time, this will mean the client you are attempting to use to connect to EQ2Emulator is incompatible. DO NOT to patch to "Live" as it suggests, because we are not compatible with EQ2 Live.

A suggestion would be to identify which supported client your disk set is closest to, and use our EQ2EmuClientPatcher utility to patch your Everquest2.exe to be compatible with EQ2Emu. Always back up your Everquest2.exe file before proceeding!

Example: Say you have a backed up of your Everquest II folder from 2008. You can look at the version of your client (by running it in Windowed mode) and see what version it is. For example sake, say it is 5240L. If that client is being rejected, run the EQ2EmuClientPatcher program, and patch to the 5122L client (which is the closest) and try connecting again.

There are no guarantees that this will work for you, because if your client is too far out of date compared to the ones we support, the patch will just break the client. If this is the case, you MUST purchase a box set from SOE that is supported by this project.
