Yeah that bug is fixed. This is a different one, and I think what Zcore's referring to except he should be seeing it lying on the ground now with the death animation. On my screen, I'm watching a wildbear cub dragging itself around on the ground.

Now more cubs and some elk :D

Ok, let me get this straight. Mobs are dying, laying on the ground, but if they have a Movement script, their corpses are moving around? Hehe. Nice.

Btw, I was utterly shocked the other night when in Live EQ2, Zek, the slain grunts laying on the ground - you can target and Hail them... and the corpses turn to face you. I almost fell out of my chair. Lazy devs.

Well, they're still alive, kinda. You can log in and check the Tunarian miners area. The woods are filled with a dozen or so "dead" elk and cubs.

Oh crap, haha. So they are "undead"... and because the world doesn't think you killed them, they never "respawn"? oops.

Lol I just logged in and saw this. The spawns are laying on the floor like they are dead, moving around their normal routes. But their HP bar does not show any HP, however, their names still show a con color and their full name, not "a corpse of...".

Dead sliding not corpses?! Awesome!

I have done some coding in that past, and sorry if I am about to state the obvious, it seems that they're missing an

Code: Select all

if (health)= < or = 0 {
{Change.Name = Corpse Of xxx}
{Remove.Path}
}
Sorry if i stated the obvious, and for my action-script style format!

I tried for an hour to get one to do what they did... but I could not. Scatman got it to happen. Not sure how. You may be able to login to Tess and see the results, if any remain. (OutpostOverlord)

I must've killed 50+ things before it happened once. Then out of no where it happened 4 times in a row. I couldn't get it to happen with /kill, just simply melee attacks. The mobs I was attacking had 72 health and I was hitting for around 100-300. There didn't seem to be a connection to how much damage I was doing to the mob as it happened doing less than 100 dmg once and it also happened doing 250+ dmg once.

I've been testing the not-corpse bug. It's been around a while, since at least the 19th when I joined up.

When on Jack, 1/10 of all mobs(quest mobs too) killed will be bugged. I tried with no items, getting the bug, but he still hits for 100+ so I made a new character. I killed some mobs unarmed then summoned a weapon with 126-255 dmg(true max dmg over 255 isn't shown on items or inflicted in combat) that gave a boost of +5-10 dmg. After 50 kills or so nothing had happened and I had gotten to level 4. I zoned and suddenly I was hitting for, I assume, the 126-255 weapon damage, getting not-corpses frequently. I unequipped the weapon(still hit for the same unarmed), zoned, re-equipped it, and went back to whackin with the original +5-10. I made a few more kills then got 2 not-corpses in a row. I have no idea what causes it, but there's some other problems related to items in there.

Also - after using Beta Heal, on myself, the next mob I target within roughly 10 seconds will have a huge amount of health.

That is likely because Beta Heal has a huge Heal-over-Time on it, and currently the server does not differentiate between who got the HoT and who is targetted. I think the duration of that HoT is 20s, so after that the mob should not have their HP raise.

Also note the bug Scatman reported with ModifyHP(). It is likely the root of that problem.

Ya I'm going to go ahead and fix that. I'll add two new functions ModifyMaxHP and ModifyMaxPower if you ever wish to change the spawn's max hp/power.
