change client version?
i went dug up my eq2 discs. reinstall to pc. now i gotta pay 15 bucks to update my eq2 play on your server. sry not happening. if one of u wanna give me log in to update my client sure. but you will turn away alot of ppl with no way to update there client unless eq2 live acc is active. i havent updated mine since sept 08 and tells me my client doesnt match your server. just a heads up ppl wont pay 15 bucks to come play here since they have to update.

And? So you want us not only to do all the work of creating an emulator, but also give you access to our live accounts so that we may have the privilege of your presence in our game? Wow, just wow...

Thanks for your opinion. Now here's mine, and no offense meant...ivel83 wrote:but you will turn away alot of ppl with no way to update there client unless eq2 live acc is active.
Tough shit.
We're not getting paid to do this, so if you cannot play on a free server that people are developing out of the goodness of their heart, then... see above.
Have a nice day.

WTF! Dude, if you can't cough up the $15 to update just one time to get a compatible client then I don't know what to tell you but tough shit.ivel83 wrote:i went dug up my eq2 discs. reinstall to pc. now i gotta pay 15 bucks to update my eq2 play on your server. sry not happening. if one of u wanna give me log in to update my client sure. but you will turn away alot of ppl with no way to update there client unless eq2 live acc is active. i havent updated mine since sept 08 and tells me my client doesnt match your server. just a heads up ppl wont pay 15 bucks to come play here since they have to update.

There have been people laying out $40 for a boxed set so they can play here, so don't go saying people won't pay $15 to come play here cause most will if they want to get their fix of EQ2 for free later on down the road.

HUH? What part of you only have to update once do you not understand? Once you have a compatible client, you don't need to keep updating if you don't want to. Doesn't matter if the dev keeps chasing live, a compatible client will still always work, you just won't have any extra's that sony will add to the client later on.ivel83 wrote:well lets see , he useing most up to date client? and last month could get it off trial. so i assume he gonna keep update to with live? well wtf is the point of paying 15 bucks a month to keep update to play EMU if u alrdy paying live to keep client update to play on emu? ..... u think about that one? i know i sure all wont pay sony 15 a month to keep up to date with your emu......

We get the point, you won't pay to be compliant with a free emulator.
We're done here. Thanks for the opinion.
