Item Updater Update 1.1

Post by Siefer » Thu Oct 25, 2007 6:16 pm

Ok here is the next update of my item editor.
This is a lot more flexible then my other version.
I have also added spawn tables, zones and npcs.
Keep in mind this will not be the last update. I plan on creating a windows app that will allow you to edit quest, items, spawns, etc. I will also keep a PHP version around. For now I will stick with PHP. I will get started on a windows app when eq2emu is more developed, so for now I will continue
to work with what I have avaibile.
I plan on adding more tables and a user authentication page (login) next.
Also more themes.
Install instrucions:
1. Unzip the folder into your local dirictory.
2. Edit common.php and add in your database info:
"Database" => "your_sql_database",
"Host" => "Usually localhost",
"Port" => "",
"User" => "username",
"Password" => "password",
Do not put anything in port unless you know what you are doing. Default it 3306. It will work fine.
3. Upload the folder via FTP.
4. Goto your domain www.yourdomain.com/eq2database/items_list.php
5. Thats it your all set.
If you have any problems let me know
Have fun.
Here is a prieview
Here is the download link
P.S. I know I need to create better folders for the upload but for now this will do.

I'm pretty sure he just means your website URL in which you installed the php scripts.
If the above makes no sense to you, you will be incapable of running this tool without first learning IIS/Apache webservers, MySQL, and PHP scripting.

If your internet provider allows you to open port 80
you can always just create a web server on your local machine. Then you wont have to pay for anything.
Sorry about the late reply.
I have been in Germany the past few months sorting some crap out.
