0.0.2 and more than 1 client - crashing

Post by John Adams » Fri Oct 26, 2007 9:46 pm

I don't see this in the changelog, so maybe it is not yet fixed in 0.0.2, but I thought I read somewhere crashing clients had some fixes.
I just loaded up the new binaries, and logged in 2 clients. Zoned them so the two toons were in the same zone (Antonica). Soon as the 2nd toon started moving forward, the first client crashed.
This was using 4427L, both clients from the same desktop, if that matters. I'll try again from separate computers.

I hadn't checked all of my stuff in when Cad did the release, but I just checked on my server and clients don't crash each other. I'm not saying they never will, but right now they aren't easily crashing each other. Do you have access to a compiler? I'll update SF's svn tomorrow and you can compile the changes if you want. I might update the binary on SF as well, depends on how lazy I feel :P

Was my mistake thought the update was already in. I updated the post to reflect the real changes.

Aye, I usually compile my own stuff using VS2005Pro. I just use release binaries when I am in a big damn hurry. :) I'll check the SVN later.
