I did a whole new reinstall of eq2 the shadow Odyssey did what the tutorial said and tried to log in however when i put in my account name/pass it came up and said servers are currently busy.

Can i please get a little info i really wanna make this work the guide i read was on http://www.eq2emulator.net/phpBB3/viewt ... p?f=9&t=98

is there by chance a more upto date guide? because i really am interested in a eq2 emu

btw i own every retail copy of the games so i can install a different one if need be but really dont wanna lol.

I'm not sure of the exact list of all the supported clients but I think most of them around 54??L work. As just make sure you have the correct log-in server address in your eq2_default.ini and you "should" be able to log in...

hm well my client is 5040....and just a double check the login server adress is the cl_ls_address?

Yes, make sure that is eq2emulator.net. That is the only change you have to make to your raw client install, that and running Everquest2.exe, nothing else.

hmm when you say "that and running Everquest2.exe" you mean just running it from that and not the launcher correct? because I change the login to eq2emulator.net but still giving me the servers are busy error thing =/ im not supposed to install anything or patch correct? because its a 100% fresh install have not even clicked the launcher once

When are you getting "Server busy" message? After putting in user name/password? Or after making a character and selecting a server to play on?
