I was thinking it might be a cool [custom] EQ2Emu feature if we allowed admins to set customized MOTDs for individual zones. Say a player zones into Commonlands - and there is a GM event happening that day. Maybe a special message with instructions, etc. Many other applications as well.
Just a thought, for that 0.9-1.0 cycle.

It wasn't a linux problem, at least I don't think. It was the fact that I didn't set my field to NULL. It runs fine on win32 and linux now though.

A nice custom touch, imo.
I plan to use it to message the content team about what is or is not ready in a zone. I think it'll be very useful to others as well. Nice work!
