Arc's Log O' Stuff

Post by ArcVNDT » Wed May 13, 2009 1:27 am

Heya, this is where I will be putting stuff I find as I play through. I will update it over time. If this is the wrong place, please move it. Also, if you need this in a different format, let me know. This was done as a female human paladin.

General
*Consistent server disconnects when in character creation. Seems some type of IP timeout as it happens between 3-5 minutes.
*Could not find a way to bind hotbar keys. Is this intended? The section under Options is blank.
*Journal doesn't open when looting collectibles.
*Journal displays 100/100 Collections completed/discovered at creation.
*Both Roots and Budding Garden offering Yarrow as loot.
*Yarrow is not stacking. Can't seem to have more than one.
*Dragging items to the "Drop items here to add to inventory" causes them to disappear.

Queen's Colony
*Hanna Deeppockets can not be utilized to buy or sell.
*Tent behind Hanna Deeppockets is displaying it's identifier "grey_tent_small01"
"good_bench" "sign_post" also showing above said items
*Defeating "formidable sparring partner" for The Art of Combat puts you directly to level 3 from level 1. Could be combat experience gain, not sure.
*Very slow respawn on Tainted Sapswill Invaders for "A Presence of Evil" quest. If the guards get any kills (and they're quick to) you're up for a wait to finish the quest.
*"Invalid zone in coords, taking to safe point": Message received when leaving cave with necromancer by Grexx's treehouse. Brings you to initial zone in point.
*Qeynosian Scout up a tree yells for help, but he is too far away to interact with and doesn't respond to hails. Killed all the Morak wolves at the base of the tree, to no effect.
*The area filled with undead pirates is an agro mess. Even at lvl 10, it was impossible to fight less than 3 at a time.

Submitted some more bugs in game. Mostly quest related, in the Darklight Woods.

Changed the sapswill invader's respawn from 5 minutes to 30 seconds.

*The character creation disconnect is a known issue. For some reason the client doesn't like when you've been creating or selecting a character for more than 30 seconds. We're looking for a packet or something to keep you connected.
*Collectables are not implemented yet.
*The Yarrow is actually stacking, just the number is not showing. This is why it appears you cannot get more than one. If you attempt to delete the Yarrow you'll notice it says "Delete Yarrow(5)?" or however many you have.

*Merchants just got revamped so we're about to re-set them up.
*The names display on objects currently to help us while building a zone. They'll be removed once the zone is completely finished.

I'll fix the other stuff later today when I get back. Thanks for the reports :)

They actually are suppose to offer both.

Nope, this is perfect Arc.

The only thing I might suggest before going too hog wild on finding *everything* is to review the Server Bugs and Content Bugs forums, because a lot of stuff is already known... and to familiarize yourself with the Project Status thread, and the levels of progress noted there. Many systems are implemented, but many more are not. It'll save you some typing, if nothing else.

Keep up the good work. This is exactly what we've needed from players for a long, long time.

Wow, great job on the quick feedback guys. Much appreciated! I also reported a few things through /bug. Is /bug preferred or would you rather have it laid out here on the forums? I don't mind either way

/bug in-game is probably best, but if you have gobs of info to supply, using the bug forums is fine as well. I tend to use the forum a lot because I am an attention whore and want everyone to know I am finding bugs ;)

Actually, because I don't think the /bug text boxes are big enough for my ramblings...

lmao, too funny....well I'll use /bug for now unless it's something that doesn't fit. Makes things easier, and I can actually run fullscreen!

Arc, I am about to reset TessEQ2 to get some updated code. This is at around 12:20 MST, so it's not a bug ;)

Gotcha! I was tooling around zoning to different areas and I have to say this world is absolutely beautiful. Trying to run high speed through cities and stuff too, to see how it handles the processing.

Hey, do we have a list of item_id's laying around that I could browse?

Sure, in-game type /itemsearch :)

LE made a nice, fancy mimic-broker interface for finding items easier.

Ahhhh, terrific! Is Tess going to be down for a bit? Can I test on Storm Quest, or is that a completely different team?

EDIT: Scratch that, Tess is already back up ;)

Storm Quest would be someones private sever, don't think its a team of developers writing code for the emulator.

Yeah, the only 2 public servers I know of that have data at all are TessEQ2 and LethalEncounter (only because I guess he deserves data, being the dev and all ~cough~)

Others may be customizing NPCs for messing around, but since the only server to boast any progress is Syntherian Legends, I highly doubt any others will offer good test content.

Boasting progress LOL... i think I have 6 NPCs spawned...

At this point I am trying to get the zone stories, racial and world lore, spell structure and classes figured out. I am a completist and I want to make sur eI know what I am doing before I randomly begin spawning things.
