Server Registration help
Help! I am trying to register a new server but every time I get "Login Account: Could not verify Login Account information.". I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am logged into the website, so I know that my user name and password work. So please help me. Thanks

Re: Server Registration help
Forum name/password are not what you use for server login account information. Go to the Portal (index page here) and register a player account and server account per the player and server admin guide instructions.

Re: Server Registration help
Can you answer me one more question. When I run the EQ2world.exe and it states connectToUpdateServer I get a error 10061. Do you know what this means. I can't find anything on the forum. Thanks again

Re: Server Registration help
You should probably post your LoginServer.ini, but take out your account/password info so we can see how you're configured.

Re: Server Registration help
Well, a few things.
worldaddress should be your public IP or DynDNS address (like myserver.no-ip.org). Otherwise, LoginServer doesn't know where to send players to. But that's not your update problem.
That's:
This is so 2008
Things have changed, and if the documentation isn't up to date, let me know. It needs to be... Set this info to:
That's why your world cannot find the update server.
Code: Select all

[UpdateServer]
updateserveraddress=eq2emulator.net

Re: Server Registration help
Right, but like every other release of software, the most current information is usually not packaged with it
Our forums, wiki, and guides should have all the current data. I'll see if I can't get someone to double-check them, make sure they are accurate. Hope you are up and running.
