Zone safe loc

Post by alfa » Mon Oct 29, 2007 6:40 pm

Some zones still no have (or not correct) safe loc point. So if you have any correction post here.
And first update:

Code: Select all

(195, 'qey_adv01_oakmyst', 'qey_adv01_oakmyst', 'Oakmyst Forest', '1093.17', '-10.15', '-382.08', '-1e+006'),

By "safe", what do you mean? Zone-in coords by using /zone [zonename]?
And, will the packet collecter collect zone-in coords?

Yes to the first question and no to the second.

So, as I wrote some time ago, we need to get the zone-in locations by hand. That's not a problem :)

"adv02_dun_drowned_caverns" - I land in a small box, and /move'ing around, the area is completely black though I do see a light source. I am not familiar enough with EQ2's /loc to find actual land... any quick tips?
And my quick contribution before heading to work:
'antonica_epic01_vale','Shattered Vale','-2352.83','9.60','-60.43' (was popping you in the middle of the druid ring looking thing)
'commonlands','The Commonlands','-1263.5','-88','44.5' (puts you at FP gates - was popping you at the graveyard to the south)

If you know the real zone name you can always go to http://eq2.gamepressure.com/ and view a map for the zone. They have the coordinate ranges around the side of the map. Note that these ranges are the x and z values (the first and third values of /move). The y value (the middle number) is the height.

Ahh ok, never heard of that zone. Anyways, the reson why most (if not all) zones crash the client when you login is because of bad safe coords. For Freethinker try: 47.05, 2.23, 3.90

you can find the zone names you have zoned to/from if you look in the ioplans folder
(i.e. default install C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\cache\ioplans)
As I zone around norrath, I have been getting/verifying safeX, Y, Z for zones.
Will submit here if they differ.

You sure it is the SERVER that crashes and not the client?
