I can`t connect to the Zone Server
Hi all,
I have a problem with connecting to my own server. When I create a character and login nothing happend. I am stuck at the Zone server and after 20s or so I am back in the log in screen. When I login to any other server I can login. I search on the forum for same problems but it didn`t solve my problem. Can somebody look and tell me why I can`t connect to my own zone server pls.
My client version is 5499L
cl_ls_address eq2emulator.net
MySQL version is: 5.0.81
Server versie : 0.6.5
Server : Delta
Alert log info:
build="SOEBuild=5499L" version="SOEVersionString=2009/3/16 16:21:32" build_type="USER OPTIMIZED" ls_address="none" zone="ZoneScene::onOpen" loc="-124.68 59.82 -890.29" performance="7" alert="E:\live\eq2\game\client\src\NCS2.cpp(1247): No customization definiton"

Re: I can`t connect to the Zone Server
Please post your LoginServer.ini contents (minus your account name and password info).
Sounds like your client just cannot find your server by IP.
You might also try the ServerPack, found in Releases forum. Fully localized server for personal play.

Re: I can`t connect to the Zone Server
More than likely you have a firewall up that is preventing the traffic from reaching your server.

These are both wrong. worldaddress cannot be blank, or how does the loginserver know where to send clients? If you want a public server (available to others outside your computer), you have to have a public IP address. That's why the documentation tells you to get a DynDNS account.Ash wrote:[UpdateServer]
updateserveraddress=eq2emulator.net
updateserverport=9103
and updateserveraddress needs to be updates.eq2emulator.net
This is wrong in the release package, but it is too late to change it, and there are many posts about that... but get your connection problems sorted first, then worry about database updates.

9100 is what your exe talks to public Login on, so it was your 9000 forwarder that probably got you working.
