Item-triggered spawn visibility?

Item-triggered spawn visibility?

Wow, I had no idea this was in EQ2... I am such a nub.

The items in this collection can all be found by collecting ground-spawn blue shinys with a ? over them, which are hidden unless you have the Kunark Expert Adventurer Goggles.
So sometime down the road, we have to make spawns only visible to clients based on what's in their various equipment slots? Cool. Have fun with that.

Yep. Also the purple shinies are only visible if you have a quest, heh.

I have those googles by the way :), and the girdle used to be a must have for healers (until SOE nerfed it)

I figured we already had functionality in Quests to only pop spawn (objects) for players on a quest. Yes/No? If not, well add that to the list!

I am a noob! Level 38 after 5 years? c'mon.

Oh yeah, and remember Sara got all excited when she collected logs for "purple shinies"? We even have a log for them. But I thought that was just some special event stuff.

Yuppers. I played from Nov 11 2004 til about May 2005 (when I got my current job), then didn't touch the game again til I discovered EQ2Emu.

Got my last 10 levels this year, collecting logs. :)

There is 2 or 3 collections quest for get an item to see blue shinys. Collection item with the lower drop item of each collections quest in the extension. They do that for:

- KoS (have to check)
- EoF
- RoK (used for RoK and TSO)

RoK item can be used in Runny for see a rare collection in the zone.

You have some live event, like AFTA event for pre - TSO, you have to earn faction for buying a funny helm, and you can see some purple shinys. I have keep a full collection of there items.

I'm not a crafter but I have heard you have some things like that with craft too

As far I know there is type of shinys

- Yellow = Collection
- Blue / Red = Rare collection
- Purple / Green = Are used for Event / Quest ~ And this fuc... Nexona script :P

Hmm, anyone happen to have a log of this? Perhaps before and after they receive the quest?

I believe Zcoretri collected a log with and without his goggles for us to take a look at.
