Did you setup LoginServer.ini correctly with your EXTERNAL IP Address in the worladdress= field with internalworldaddress= blank?
Also, make sure both of you are using the same version, 4427L or lower.
Here's an example of what I meant:

Code: Select all

worldaddress=0.0.0.0
internalworldaddress=
ALSO: If you're not trying to connect to YOUR server, the server you're connecting to may not allow external connections, so try another one. Be aware this is an Alpha, monster spawn aren't even implemented yet.

Unfortunately, it's too late. It's impossible to downgrade the patch. You'll have to wait until we update the World Source for Rise of Kunark (The New Expansion Coming Up).

You cannot ask for client patches. Read the forum rules.

You would have to reinstall Eq2 using the RoK discs. Meaning you would have to wait until the expansion is released and then somehow aquire the discs, although you wont actually need a key (at all). So if you have a friend who'll be getting it and can borrow from him or I don't know, legally obtained it, perhaps from some kind of download system, thats legal.
In short youll most likely have to wait until the expansion is released, at the very least.

Perhaps, i don't know the size of the entire game, but perhaps someone who have the right version can pack it and host somewhere. With some games it's OK you can copy the game folder and try to launch it, it's start correctly. Perhaps with EQ2 it'll be the same :?
WOOOT i'm here !

Right now the game weighs in at 16 gb, after RoK (beta) is installed you are talking almost 20gb. That is a hell of a share.

Upload Speed

Yeah, my upload speed is 100kb/s, so 16GB wouldn't be done even in a day.

This thread is going down hill fast.
Here is a real simple answer. Wait until the RoK release. Dont talk about borrowing your friends copy, hosting game files, back patching, ect..
There is only one way of getting the files you need, and thats purchasing the RoK box set. If you find ways other than buying your own copy, dont talk about them. Plain and simple.
Locked before I see another question about hosting or sharing files!
