Question...

Post by Atton2.0 » Wed Jul 22, 2009 12:20 am

Ehm. If i don't want to uninstall my current fully patched version of EQ2, is it possible to have it install to a different location so I can run live AND emu? Say I don't wanna play live and feel like hitting the emu... So i can just play either or?

Any ideas how to do this? I tried renaming but that only brought up modify/repair/remove option.

Just copy your Eq2 Folder into another place. one you update, another one you don't.

If you are patched to live currently you will not be compatible, you will just have to wait till we catch up and that may be a long time. To be compatible just install your RoK or TSO box set, and don't update.

Live to Emu
1, Patch live
2, Back up and rename "Everquest2.exe" to EQ2-Live
3, Paste in the other "Everquest2.exe" used for live
4, Download the EQ2EMu Patcher
5, Patch your "Everquest2.exe" to a working build
6, Click Change LS
7, Run "Everquest2.exe"

Emu to Live
1, Rename your "Everquest2.exe" to EQ2-Emu
2, Rename EQ2-Live to "Everquest2.exe"
3, Run EQ2.exe

Now you wont need two installs of the game.
