Repair Question

Post by Scatman » Sun Sep 27, 2009 11:17 pm

I've implemented repairing but I have a few questions about it.

1) Does anyone know a formula or rules by how much it costs to repair equipment? Does it go off of how much the item costs?
2) A regular item's condition decreases by 10 each time you die and Heritage items by 5 right? Any other cases?

Thanks!

Some items don't deteriorate at all (I think charms?).

Also the cost for repairs is not constant, it increases the more often you repair the items.

Any and all raiders can tell you about the cost of repairs. You wipe 10 times, pay the bot 50 gp to repair, then do it all again and pay 58 or so the next time. Raid for a few months and the same Equipm will cost over a plat to repair. Its a PITA.

I can tell you that the cost is determined by the level of item, item slot (weapons cost more than necklaces for instance) and the tier of the item (fabled, mythical etc.). As per the particular formula... no idea.

Are you sure about this? I raid all the time and I don't see my repair bills go up after wiping a million times, and believe me, my raid force wipes a lot, lol.

You found a post somewhere that states this?

I do know that the tinker repair bots are ALOT more expensive then going to a NPC mender.

As far as costs go, Fabled items cost the most and work their way down from there.

Yeah, since I abhor this concept to the marrow of my bones... Zexis, you mind siting a post from EQ2 devs that makes you believe this to be the case? If it is not the case, there will be much rejoicing.
