New Player on the Server! :) need help...

I am tried to get started on one of your servers..
installed EQ2 Rise of Kunark (without patching), created Account + activating.
I also joined the Blizz Server, created a character and then i was complete alone on the Server.. without any NPC's,Items,Houses.. just kind of the standart surface.
Did i installed something wrong?
(btw. where can i look for the version number? -> win7 )

hi , i'm new too and i read a few posts so here's what i know :

The database built by the eq2emulator staff is not yet released so basically all the content eqmu staff have been worked on is only aviable on their server (and it's currently down) , which is why other servers are blank or have custom content.

can any1 tell how much player approximately playing on the server?

It really depends on the sever but TessEq2 will have anywhere between 2-10 at any time.

No you haven't installed anything incorrectly. Blizz's server doesn't have any NPC's or anything like that as of yet.

or i have nowhere else to go then create a new "test" account

It's just a matter of check and see. If there's a server online, you can play. If not, you can't. The project is still in alpha stage, which means hardly anything works. You can help the project along by grabbing the packet collector and log into live and collect some zones. If you look around on the forums you'll find everything you need to know about how to go about doing this, and what zones need collecting.
