[Resolved] Request to the devs for the Wiki

Hi all,

Astal and me have stared taking screenshots of the large number of npc models to use as a reference similar to that wonderful PDF that floated around in eq1emu and we wanted to add the images to the Race ID list on the wiki.

Fortunately for you, you don't allow image uploads! Which would have probably filled your disk with all the many many models out there! But wiki does also allow inline image linking. We were gonna upload them to another location and then just provide the image but by default it is disabled in mediawiki.

Can i plead for it to be enabled? I'm sure alot of images would be very useful for lots of pages in the wiki and the image to race id list for eq1emu was a godsend.

Wasn't best sure who to ask about this so I stuck it in the support forum, hope that's ok

I do have a Gallery module for our portal, just never got around to re-skinning it for phpBB3. Maybe in my down time I'll see if I can finish that and the File section modules. I could then give you Wiki authors access to post images so they are hosted here and will never vanish (al la Photobucket... )

Ah nice one john that would be appreciated. Astal set us up ImageShack but as you can imagine the randomly generated file/URL names made updating the wiki page a nightmare job so I just stuck them somewhere where I could have them as AppearanceID.jpg. Gimme a shout when she's all ready and i'll run a find/replace on the url!
