Setting up a server

Post by Mirkle » Thu Nov 26, 2009 9:14 pm

hey. First post here, so hi all.
I'd like to install a server and later on help the team with what needs work (testing, collecting, code, database, etc).
So i bought shadow odyssey box and i have an unpatched install.

Just to make sure:
1. Is the install guide still up-to-date? http://www.eq2emulator.net/wiki/index.p ... ows_Binary
2. Is the server account registration page down for now or this step is not required anymore?

Thanks

As far as I know the guide is up to date, if you get any probs post in this thread and we'll help out. I only modded it a few months ago so it shouldn't be too bad.

You will definitely need to register your server so you can fill in the user and pass in your loginserver.ini - i just checked this page and it appears that 'Module getting a facelift! Coming Soon!'. I'm sure it won't be too long so start your development using minilogin and you will be all good!

All the best

Mike

Yes, sorry... the server registration/management pages are temporarily down while I update them a bit.

Due to the US holiday, and my major move going on this week, I haven't had time to finish it, so my apologies for that. Like bolly said though, look in Releases, and there is a "Minilogin" ServerPack you can run locally to get started looking around.
