help please

I have manage to get into 1 of the 3 private servers but when i get into one there is no npc or monsters to fight and i have no spells or combat ability is the normal for theses servers? the only build i could get to work is 6079L all others just crash on load in can anyone help me with this issue or tell me is that normal for the serves not to have any npc to fight?

Taken from the front page:

The EQ2Emulator Project is offered to the community as an "Open Alpha" project; which means while our server is not yet complete developed or thoroughly tested, you may get your hands on the source code, binaries and a rudimentary database and get right to playing or developing your own worlds!

The fact that there are no monsters or NPCs is very normal for Open Alpha. It's still in early development.

thank you when they do get the server more up there and have monsters and npc it will be lots of fun to play but right now all you can do is run around lol

Try TessEQ2. All the starting areas of that server are populated and many have quests working.
