K, i have apparently been hit with the retard stick this week... because I cannot find shit relating to logging emu events to text files heh. I found the EQ2EmuLog thingy, but nowhere can I find what the name of the log setup file is (log.ini?) or anything similar to how you would setup EQEmu logging.LethalEncounter wrote:Actually I used the base EQEmu log code and I don't think I have made any modifications to it. So you might be able to set it up just like EQEmu.
I'll keep lookin.

Re: 0.7 Priorities / Wish Lists
I notice PMs tend to gurgle and sputter a lot when I try to get one more feature implemented before release.

Bumping this ancient thread so we can get a peek at what all has been accomplished since 0.6.0 and 0.6.5, and an idea of what we have left for a 0.7.0 release.

Yeah it had been a while since I instilled panic in you, so this was for you. Once we get some bugs and stability worked out, maybe it'll be time to nail this one and release 0.7.0

Re: 0.7 Priorities / Wish Lists
Of our entire 0.7.0 "Wish List", we got nearly everything we wanted done. Only took a year, which if you consider there has been 1.5 developers (Scatman on Content 90% of the time, and only just started coding C++), that's a fairly amazing amount of work done.
The remaining 0.7.0 Top Priority list is as follows:
For Groups, I'd like to get buffs, loot and group settings implemented asap so we can close out Groups as complete. "LFG" can wait til after 0.7.0.
For additional Spells support, I *still* need a list of missing functionality from Zcoretri - who is currently going through spell levels 1-10 for release, and may have a better idea what he needs after that task. Since Pets are a system all unto themselves, there's no way we'll see that for the 0.7.0 release, so it'll go into the 0.8.0 wish list.
From our original discussions, I am going to push the following functionality to post-0.7.0 release, since we just don't need them immediately.
Sound good?

Re: 0.7 Priorities / Wish Lists
Hmm, something that seems to keep falling off the TODO list is the "Smart Loot" system. If you asked me what ONE thing I'd like to see immediately next, even before 0.7.0 release, it would be the loot system. We have a rudimentary one now, but it really needs a re-vamp.

Re: 0.7 Priorities / Wish Lists
I wouldn't even worry about the LFG system. I have a sneaking suspicion EQ2 will be implementing a dungeon finder system like WoW soon to replace the current useless LFG system.

John, I'm sure you mentioned it somewhere on here but do you have a link to your smart loot design?
