eq2 model viewer

Post by delium » Mon Jul 19, 2010 12:48 am

hi,
several months ago i started on creating a eq2 model viewer using the ogre3d engine.
at the moment it can load and display most of the eq2 npc/monster models which i tested.

a big problem that i have is the animation of the models, it´s very tricky and i stuck at this at the moment...
so here are four screenshots of what i have so far, hope you like it :)

sorry for the big pictures, but if you click it you will se the full picture

Wow, looks really good.

Can you edit the models as well?

no, it´s very basic for now. only loading and rendering of models works properly.

Oh, like a reference tool. I like it!

Are you planning on implementing anything aside from viewing and rendering? I did 3D modelling for a few months and found it very annoying swapping between programs all the time.

I'd like a copy of this when you're finished playing with it. Might come in handy some time.
my client version: 12682L, 2016/06/06
last one that will run on XP cause i'm just a stick-in-the-mud

attached you will find a very very early version of my EQ2 Model Importer for Milkshape 3D.
Currently it only supports the Mesh´s Geometry file (*.draw)

Just place the DLL to your Milkshape 3D installation folder. Then start Milkshape 3D and Go to File->Import->Everquest 2 (.draw)
A file browser will pop up, there you can select your draw file.
