Here's the latest update to the EQ2Emulator ServerPack v1.2, which contains current code and all the data we've been working on - all in one package (nlmiller might be happy, though a little too late ;))

What's Included?
  • EQ2LoginServer (minilogin) v1.1
    EQ2Emulator Release 0.6.5 (build 431 - Apr 15, 2010) World server (32-bit and 64-bit* binaries for Windows)
    EQ2Emulator Database Milestone 1 Release including all current LUA Scripts (new!)
    Client Compatibility: 6196L (pre-Sentinel's Fate clients!)
    MySQL 5.0.27 Community Edition (command-line)
    Apache/PHP web services
    phpMyAdmin Database Management web interface
    EQ2DBTool
    Client Launcher tool (new!)

What's New?
  • - Client 6196L support! Older clients also compatible, but Sentinel's Fate is not compatible yet! Sorry!.

    - Major amount of Bug Fixes (see ChangeLog.txt)
    - Better memory management system
    - Guilds
    - ItemScripts added
    - Lotto NPC support
    - Many enhancements to Spells, including Scribing books
    - Our Database (content) Milestone 1, which contains all of our Tier 1 (levels 1-10) content



I'm sorry to say Sentinel's Fate is still not working properly, so the highest client version for this server pack is 6196L (recommended 6118L)

Check the ChangeLog for full details about what is in this current version of the Server.

:lol: Fantastic work! I couldn't get my own SQL server working, so this is a blessing! I'm impressed at how even the level 1-10 content is there and works. I'm looking forward to one day when it's complete and just like the real game!

This is cool. It was just exactly as easy as you said. Thx so much for putting this together.

2 very minor bugs:

1) ClientLauncher.exe got an error concerning configs.xml and discovered the last line was "</EQ2EmualatorClientLauncher>cher>". Deleted the end cher> and it worked.

2) ClientLauncher.exe apparently modifies eq2dir/eq2_default.ini and doesn't use quite enough spaces to cover up the old line "cl_ls_address 127.0.0.1 t"

Aside from that: I'm up and running and submitting bug reports in, hopefully, the correct forum. ===))))

Yeah I told Scatman about these months ago, but he's toooooo busssssyyyyy with his 20-something beach life and hot babes. How dare he put that before Client Launcher!!11/

If you know C#, and want to jump in there and submit a fix, let me know. This tool will eventually be open source but I wanted to get these last few bugs worked out.

point me at the src code and i'm sure i can fix these minor string errors. have never seen C# before, but am fluent in C so i don't see a problem.

if I were you I would grab up some ebooks and brush up for minor variances between language styles.

Anyhow, Im gonna give this a test run, check it out, I am a student at WestWood Cooleges of Technology working on my Bach in Game Software Developmnent, so if I can lend a hand let me know.

I have seen very nice work here so far. Keep it up!!

login is "admin / admin", just like it says in the admin guide.

'eq2' is not an account, unless you made one, and if you did, you're on your own.

When you download from the url it says 100kb then drops rapidly to less than 1kb a sec - can you mirror this in google code

(posted in a more relevent thread)

Also it's very hard to find this link unless you know to search Server Pack which new users won't know

Really SVN means nothing to outsiders as well - perhaps you guys could add Downlaod to the top menu?

I have a Downloads module for the Portal, but it looks like hammered ass... so I never published it. I'll take a look at the file store problem, again. Seems my linux machine is about to die.... :(
