Problem hosting

Post by xfdeviant » Tue Nov 20, 2007 10:59 pm

Okay, I followed the instructions for setting up a server exactly as instructed, db updated correctly and everything, but I am still unable to get any further than "Submitting character "ghergkjds" to server. I have no idea what I need to do from here. =\

Need a little more information.
- Server version you are using.
- Client Version your using,
- Double Check your ini files and if they look good, post them here for us to check
- Also, check and see what World is saying as your logging in and see if they're errors.

Server version is 0.4. I'm running 4523, and the ini files are perfect. The world.exe has no response other than what it posts when loaded.

When your connecting, you should see some sign of action in the server window. If not, it means that the LoginServer is not passing your client information on over to your server. Mostly due to something in the ini file, or possible a port being blocked.

Yep, I forgot to open the ports for it. Works like a charm now.
