char login problems
I log into server and create a character and when I try to play the game and log my char in it kickes me out to server log in screen. is there an issue with the servers right now I would like to log in and help test or play for you all to get data. I played in beta threw live and for a few years after release, then I stoped playing but would like to be a part of this emu if possible. also is there a plan to patch emu to higher version because when I log into me soe account and do a digital download it downloads up to live eq2 I got a valid copy of shadows of oddyssey for emu though. let me know of thoughts on problems or if I can help.

Re: char login problems
before you delete an install, let us test the server, sometimes it just needs to be restarted
we're testing it right now

Re: char login problems
It was ready right after I posted about the bug
Go for it!
Be warned, the ROK and TSO clients do exhibit some problems, because they are so old. We have not gone back 3-4 years to maintain code for those older clients, since we will eventually phase them out. But for now, it should work.

Re: char login problems
I am getting a crash still but now it is after I go to log in server I did not even get to char screen it gives me a eq2 application error and it just closes eq2 on me.
Should I update to a newer version or load a different version of eq2 other then tso?

Re: char login problems
Zcoretri,
There is a fatal error in using ROK and TSO box clients (5122L) where the client does "stop responding" and Windows 7 aborts it, long before getting to Char Select. Soon as I login (username/pwd) and it starts connecting to LoginServer, the client shuts down. It is not World that I am aware of, but something with Login, and nothing has changed there but opcodes in months.
I was going to try and come up with more information this weekend. My task list is filling quickly. I'd like to see if someone else can handle this. Z or Scattonuggah.
