So what is functional right now?

Post by burn2break » Fri Dec 07, 2007 9:22 pm

I just went out and bought RoK (not happy about having to drop the 40, but whatever). What am I actually able to do in the game as of right now, December 7th? Can I quest? Are there things to kill? Are there NPC's? Are there even skills?
This is all assuming I'm not just running my own server...but instead am playing on one of the other servers.
I really hope I didn't just waste 40 bucks...
Thanks for the answer in advance.

As of right now there isn't too much that you can do besides spawn things, create items and run around. This project was restarted in July, so I think we have made some good progress in 5 months. The core program is more or less completed and within the next 5 months we should start be able to create a functional game server. The work would be a lot faster if I had programming help, but I am the only one working on it at the moment.

Here's my advise... it takes longer to place an online order than it does to read the stickied, front-page news stating what the emulator is currently capable of. If you didn't do your research first, then you have no one but yourself to blame for "wasting $40". :)
Estimate? At least a good 6 mos or more before you can even see spawns, let alone interact with them. If LE doesn't get help, probably more.

Well, thank you for your honesty. I have a few programming friends. I'll see if I can't get you a little help. I'm still new to the whole programming thing, so I wouldn't be much of a help.
I am, however, looking forward to playing when it is up and running.

As stated above, functionality is a bit limited and will be in the future.
Look toward future updates !
