I tried to find a thread on this before I posted to be safe.
Every time I run my EverQuest2.exe nothing happens but there is a process under my Task Manager (EverQuest2.exe). I've tried reinstalling my SF and repatching it using EQ2EmuPatcher to no avail.
I'm running SF Box Set. If patching is through EQ2EmuPatcher then it is patched, but untouched by Sony's patcher.
I guess my version is 6118L but I don't have the "Version" tab for my EverQuest2.exe properties.
My eq2_default.ini is right.
I dont have the alertlog.txt or eq2_crash.log files so I'm clueless as to what is going wrong.
And I run Sony's EQ2 with ease so its not my computer thats the issue.
Thanks in advance. All suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Client Launch Failure
Double check your eq2_default.ini and make sure the cl_resource_address is either rem out or removed.
If it is then move on to my next suggestion
Give this a try cause i've never experienced this before uninstall or delete your current install of SF (make sure the folder is gone if you uninstall instead) then re-install. Once you have finished re-installing open up the eq2_default.ini and change the cl_ls_address to cl_ls_address eq2emulator.net and make sure to delete or rem out cl_resource_address then save and close.
Now run Everquest2.exe to see if get's you to the login screen which it should but you will get a version error if you try to log in. Now grab the patcher and patch your SF install and you should be able to connect.
Code: Select all
cl_ls_address eq2emulator.net
cl_screenwidth 1024
cl_screenheight 768
cl_placeholder_base_lods 0
r_stats 0
cl_unload_resources_asynchronously 1
r_appearance_update_always_dist 25
cl_language English
cl_fullscreen 1
cl_alert_once_each 1
cl_log_crashes true
r_graph_over_time 0
r_looteffect 0
r_spawneffect 0
sfx_volume 0.90
ambient_volume 0.90
music_volume 0.50
combat_music_volume 0.55
voice_volume 0.70
resident_sound_volume 0.75
