Bug Squashing Party
Devs (all that know C++),
I'd like to know what your schedules are in the coming 1-2 weeks, on a weekend preferred. I'd like us all to get on IRC together, and hit the Bug Tracker, which currently has 93 Assigned bugs, and go through them all - either fix them, or close them.
Many will be Content bugs, which we'll review when revamping content in DB Milestone 2, so we'll only be focusing on Server Bugs for this round.
Let me know who's available (Scatman, Zcoretri, Jabantiz, Xinux(?)) asap and let's put this on the calendar.
Thanks

I'll be there whenever you need me to as long as it's not to far in the future.

Re: Bug Squashing Party
I will be around the next few weekends, but...I am on after hours on call starting April 9, so the weekend of April 14-15 I may have to leave abruptly if I get a service call.

Re: Bug Squashing Party
Thanks guys, let's just meet on IRC any time Fri-Sun this weekend and see if we can get to any of this. I know Scatman is AFK for this holiday weekend, so we might have to go for the next weekend if anything is beyond our talents
We can still identify the issues, see if they are reproducible, and bump the bug thread so Scat can have the latest info if he is required.

Re: Bug Squashing Party
FYI, I've added a search parameter to the Bug Tracker tonight to show Server, Content or Tools bugs only. This way we can sepErate the two, and determine easily if Content bugs can just be closed.
If you see a bug in Content that is irrelevant, because we're starting the DB all over, feel free to set it's status to Closed.

April 19-23 I'll be in DC
April 27 and 28 is a 2 day block(s) party I'll be at
March 3-7 I'll be in Florida
So those three consecutive weekends are not good for me.

Here we are, a month later. Any bugs squashed? Maybe we can try doing this again...

Re: Bug Squashing Party
Will anyone be around this weekend? I'd like to try another bug squashing party. Jabantiz has eliminated a few since 0.7.0 released, but I know with my own code additions, some have been introduced
I'd like to sit on IRC and hammer out a few of these more obnoxious bugs (crashing, locking/deadlocks, blatant combat fails) if we could be all together. Anytime after 10am PST?
Any takers?
EDIT:
Updated Bug Tracker with 2 things; First, it will now record the post_id of any bug submitted to the forum as a post. This is for me, mostly, internal tracking and will allow me to push Dev Notes as followups to the post (eventually) and be able to track that if the post closes, the bug must be fixed.
Secondly, you can use the Search Text field now to find bugs by ID. Be sure to click [Clear] first so no other criteria is considered first.
