Before I say I'm a veteran player and loved the shit out of everquest 1 for everquest 2 I only really enjoyed the early levels. I felt I had to race up to every one else on live. I feel I skipped so many dungeons and instances. But when I had to go back to the dungeons for achievements that is when I seen exactly how many dungeons there were, maybe roughly 100 group dungeons, not raids. Sadly, I only remember actually playing through 6-10 of them. So it was like I missed a large chunk of fun and I keep thinking of all of that stored away content that never really got to shine. In my opinion EQ2 live gave too much content early game and did not implement it very well at all. On top of that when I became near lvl 20 I was wearing flaming badass gear that looked completely out of place as cosmetic gear. Oddly enough I enjoy wearing miss matched gear since it visually shows that I am progressing. I would like to manually travel without the nexus, have wizard, druid, racial, deity, ports. The quick pathing mounts were quite bad, really felt like a amusement park just rolling through the game. No cosmetic gear slots, unless maybe for role playing or something "town clothe"s. Maybe my ideas are slightly more hardcore.
Looks like the devs are making very good progress from last I checked. Keep up the good work. I am so inspired that I can't stop thinking about the finished project. I assume the devs already have awesome plans and ideas for the future. If I would suggest something it would be to hold back some of the instances since there is a large amount, leave some for endgame progression, or really slow things down and encourage players to try go through a lot of the instances.
Can't get this game off of my mind.

Re: Can't get this game off of my mind.
Welcome, Mastabrad. Thank you for the vote of confidence. We have been at this a long time, and while progress has been slow, it has made progress. Regarding early dungeons and your suggestion - we are not developing a custom EQ2 experience here, we are developing an Emulation of the EQ2 Live game. Meaning, we will include all functionality and content as you would experience in the Live game of EQ2.
That said, anyone who takes our work and runs their own Private Server can do anything they wish to the content, including locking it out, tweaking quests, or building a Progression server. We're just here to give you the means; what you do with it is completely up to you. Me personally, my dream server would be an exact clone of day-1 opening game, complete with city wars and factions, keeping the game as challenging as it was the day it was conceived... without the crashing server bugs
Someday, perhaps. First, we'll have to finish the emulator - at least as far as we can take it with our limited resources.

Thanks for the reply, I really cant wait for other people to also give insight to what the perfect Everquest 2 experience could be. I was about to ask if this was a core emulator website like EQ Emulator.org, and I see it is. =P
