Author: LethalEncounter :: Posted: Mon Nov 19, 2007 4:24 pm
This version allows clients to connect to the server even though they might have a different version of the client. The supported versions are: 4523L (current live client as of Nov 18th), 4427L, and 4412. Just a reminder, DO NOT PATCH. If you patch again you will not be able to play the emu. The changelog is below:
according to latest notes i have the correct client version...

You have the right version. Where does it crash? When logging into the Login server or after you click play character?

Odd, I'll try loading your characters on my account and let you know what happens.

OK, it should be fixed now. I was able to successfully load your character and the underlying cause has been (hopefully) fixed. It was caused by packets that were between 493-499 bytes long. This is why only a few people had the problem - the character name had to be small enough to ensure the packet fit in this range. They were too small to compress, but the server was attempting to send them as if they were. I have restored the character to your account. If you have any more problems with this let me know.

I'm getting the same error in the exact spot. Just wondering how to fix it?
Thanks
