All,

Introducing: the Official EQ2TC!

TessEQ2 has been retired. In her place is our brand-spankin' new "Official EQ2Emulator Test Center" server (EQ2TC). This server will host our newest features, content, scripts and nightly code updates. The content you will begin experiencing here is that being developed for our DB Milestone 2 release.

EQ2TC will be a fully "Legit" server, meaning there will be very limited GM Commands available to players. it is expected that anyone playing on this server is actually testing the code and content, and it is our hope to finally build in-game communities featuring player grouping, forming guilds, and eventually Raiding. Player progress should emulate the Live experience as closely as possible on EQ2TC.
  • Note: For those not interested in "playing EQ2", the ServerPacks and other public servers should provide you with adequate means to just mess around with EQ2Emulator.

What We Need From You:

We will be needing testing of all features and content from the ground up, since everything is being re-written using current code and functionality. The current bugs list has been archived (for reference) and cleared so all new bugs can be reported from this day forward.

It is GLOBAL, as in, found at the top of every forum here so you cannot possibly miss it.

This list of Server Rules is a grand ripoff of The Grand Creation ~grin~ because I didn't want to have to figure this stuff out myself...

Rules are subject to change without notice, and always subject to interpretation of our Game Masters. All players are required to adhere to these rules, and agree to them by creating a character on EQ2TC. Meaning, if you log in, you agree to this list so don't play dumb ;)

Bottom line here though, have fun, find bugs, help us create a better gaming experience.

In the spirit of the new year, and attempting a kick-start of our project development I am lifting the ban on GM Commands on the EQ2TC Server. It has been discovered there are a few critical bugs (that no one bothered to tell us about) that cause game play to be non-functional - for example, zoning via LUA script stopped working, so players were trapped in their starting areas.

It would have been nice if anyone reported this bug months ago, but what can you do? Instead, we've had our player count dwindle to 2 logins a month. Sad, really.

Let's try this again. We'll run a Legit test center server after we've added some new features and fixed the old ones. So for now, enjoy leveling to 90, twinking to the best gear and slashing level 10 spawns! :shock:

I'd log in but the only version I have is 6881L. Yeah that's quite old and the latest I have live is Sentinels Fate but its digital copy.

Quick update, the VM that EQ2TC was hosted on is suffering some catastrophic failure with its VirtualHD. I believe this is why the server has been functioning so slowly the last few months. To remedy, I have built a new VM and moved EQ2TC to a fresh x64 Windows OS and am running tests now.

If you notice anything unusual (good OR bad) about this new hosted game server, please let me know asap. I'd like an idea if I am doing any good here or not.

All Good so far-

* Server is notably less laggy while fighting and while looting

* Items which showed alot of invalid data and which caused world crashes can be viewed and equipped now, and appear to boost player stats within the UI window and for purposes of combat calculations
