Hello Players!

As you know, we've been pretty busy behind the scenes fixing many bugs and implementing some new features along the way. Content Design is also underway on our Dev environment so soon there will be new content to play with!

To start this new forum off, I will post the changes that should get your full attention while playing on the EQ2Emulator server (EQ2TC) --
  • The Combat Revamp
    • Combat/Movement Revamp - Jabantiz has basically re-written combat and movement to be more fluid and less bug prone
  • Completely New Items List!
    • After almost 5 years, we have a completely new Items list, thanks to the heroic efforts of Xinux and Jabantiz who collected all SOE items up through the CoE Beta. There are now 153,000+ items!

      These items can be bought (free) from the Broker using the /itemsearch command, and need to be evaluated thoroughly. Everything from Appearances, Stats/Bonuses, Text/Effects and of course, functionality/equipability.

      Note: We know Quest-related items are returning the wrong items - this is because the new items tables have new IDs. "Starting items" should be correct.
      No need to bug quest-related items, because we already know and will fix them in our next DB Milestone release.
  • Fixes/Enhancements related to Items
    • Items can now be Attuned!

      Mitigation should now work on equipped items and should reflect in the Player info window.

      Items should no longer disappear from your inventory when equipping or unequipping.
  • Pets
    • If you did not know this, Pet's work! They have been in the code for some time, we just have yet to develop the summoning spells/scripts to get them. You can use the /useability 300001 to play with a Necro Pet in the meantime.

      New* - Pet's now show up in the group window.
  • Tradeskills
    • Another implementation currently being worked on are crafting stations. Jabantiz has come a long way towards getting this system implemented, so please test out what he has done so far. You should be able to -
      • select a crafting station and see your recipes UI.
      • start a crafting session
      • see progress dialogs

Amazing news!!

I probably won't be able to play until May but I'm super excited at the progress :mrgreen:
