Reviving in certain zones fails

Post by Lokked » Wed Apr 10, 2013 11:47 am

The other night, I was messing around in a few zones. When I died in a couple of them, I would not revive properly and had to /zone out and then back in:
Starcrest Commune - Attacked a guard for lols, deaded, and revived to a black screen (UI components were still visible).
Peat Bog - A mob just down the path from /zone in agroed through wall (separate topic), I died, revived to the same black screen.

It wasn't like this for all zones. After this I'd jumped off some cliffs in Frostfang Sea & Permafrost and revived fine. Revive worked in Ruins as well.

Using client 5970L (I'm at work, but that sounds right).

I see there are revive points setup, will have to check this out.
What server were you on? I assume you were on EQ2Emulator?

Correct. Happened very consistently in the zones I'd mentioned. Will do it again when I get home.

Confirmed this, it is a DB issue, looks like safe_y and safe_z are swapped, in peat bog the revive point is 768.32, 367.46, -26.39 (for the one at starcrest commune gate), which results in the black screen, the correct loc should be 768.32, -26.39, 367.46

This is what happens when someone offers to help, but no one validates their work ;) Good catch, Lokked/Jab.
