Won't load Characters, goes to Login screen

Using same client and connection as last week (DoV), nothing's changed locally; can login and get get to character creation, and can create/delete toons, but not enter any zone on any of the servers with any character. Have characters from level 1 to 6, so it was working for my wife and I both until about three days ago.

At best, we get to loading character into world, then get booted back to login screen.

I posted about this in the bug section earlier so it's not just you, I don't know whether something got changed with the loginserver or if it just needs a reboot but it isn't working right currently.

My guess is world is locked up somehow and needs to be restarted. John (the admin for the EQ2Emulator server) must be busy with RL stuff and hasn't had time to look at emu things.

I'm having this same issue but no matter what i do it still wont get passed the character creator screen I looked on one of the 3 programs i need to start first it keeps saying Unable to convert EQ opcode.
the version of Everquest 2 i have is 1360 Ive tried it with the serverpack 1.0 is this whats causing me to not be able to make a lan server I have tried other versions and 1.0 is the furthest ive gotten the Character creation menu PLEASE help im at my wits end and i want to play really bad I hate the LIVE version

I have a feeling that the EQ2 client you are trying to use is not compatible. What is the date of the file you are trying to launch?

Yeah, that is not going to work with the emu

I figured as much.. Guess ill have to buy DOV is that what i need to get to get it up to working with one of the repacks

If you wait a little while, we're going to try and release our CoE-compatible ServerPack soon - but I've become very busy IRL lately, and cannot get to it yet. Was planning the end of Apr 2013, but it might end up mid-to-late May.

But it would save you $$, free client and all. Plus, you can always try out our public server, available to anyone.

I found a very cheap copy of Sentinels Fate 5 dollars at the game stop in my town might this work? John if i gave you the IP for my Teamspeak server could I schedule a meeting on there so maybe if this doesn't work I could pick at brain pan for an hour if and when you have the time ? I'm going up in the mountains to work for a long time and i wanted to get a EQ2 LAN server running for me and my buddy's on our down time.

If you use our patching utility on the SF box install you should be able to connect to most servers, however that client is no longer supported by us.

Okay thanks yeah just got it cause it was mad cheap i still plan on getting DOV when i can find it cheap too
