Major Stress Testing - A success!

Post by John Adams » Mon Mar 18, 2013 9:33 am

Just a public "thank you" to Xinux, Jabantiz, theFoof and Alfa for being on hand to stress test EQ2TC this last Sunday. I believe we broke all records for the number of current active clients in-game at once!

I hope someday to see this level of activity daily! The results of our testing was surprising; our World behaved mostly well, with only a few (expected) crashes which was why we were there in the first place. We learned a lot about our code yesterday, and hopefully will find fixed to our last remaining major issues before our 0.7.2 release (TBD).

Our next Stress Test will be announced publicly so more players may participate. Give us a few mos though to fix our current bug list.

Thanks again, Team. Could not have done this without you :)

Aw man, I missed it! Shoot, I need to pay more attention. Well, cheers, and my congratulations for a successful test :) Hopefully next time I'll hop on to add some weight.

Gratz on the success ^^

I'm still trying to sort out a better laptop.. I've been working so much lately I haven't had time to go shopping or comparing stuff.

I'm thinking of taking the easy way out and just getting an alienware, overpriced I know but it should work good. It's the only 15" screen I can find with any decent graphic settings, not that I've had time to search much. Not a fan of the larger screens when traveling.

Anyways enough of thread hijack and gratz again.

Always makes my heart flutter to see this project progressing
