I have no idea how possible this is and I am throwing this out as just an idea for the future...
It would be awesome if it were possible to place spawns the way items in your house are placed.
I am assuming that what is possible in the house zones is also possible with all zones in the game.
Feature Req: Placing spawns

I actually tried to do exactly what you suggest when someone else requested it, but unfortunately the client is VERY picky about where the item could be placed. It worked OK when the spot was completely flat, but most areas are at a slight angle and the client wouldn't even attempt to place the item there.

I've been playing around with what is in the code tonight, it's pretty cool, but like you said the client wouldn't let you place anything down on a sloped surface.
At least we can place NPCs in houses fine, which could be interesting in the future if someone wanted to mod the server to allow players to be able to hire interesting different NPCs, etc.
Do you think that the placement code in the client is hard coded or could there possibly be something that isn't being communicated that could adjust the placement values for more extreme surfaces?

I figured out what "unknown" in "WS_MoveObjectMode" does.
The value of "1" lets you position objects on the ceiling.
http://bayimg.com/oaJHbAaba - value 1
The value of "2" lets you position objects on the walls or floors in a different position then what you would get if you were to just to not set the variable.
http://bayimg.com/oAjhCAAba - value 2
Although you can change the way you can position objects you can not set them. You're still bound by what you were without setting this variable so there must be something else which controls how you set an object (ie if an object can go on a wall or not).
