I have gone over and over, and read the forum and I can't figure out what i am doing wrong.
I am using the live client, downloaded one specific for the emu. I use the right .exe, and changed the line in the default text. I downloaded the full version but I did not hit play. Added the right .exe to the emu patcher and attempted to download the chosen version.
I am getting this error : The options definition failed to load. This generally indicates that your patch was corrupted for some reason, try a complete scan and if that doesn't help then you may need to reinstall.
I have tried to select all the other versions in an attempt to make it work by chance. I tried to change the directory, even if it was to the same one and update it all over and over. Using the wrong .exe I managed to get it running, though of course through soe not the emu.
the patcher does not end with the happy " downloaded and updated"
this is what it says to me.
Updated Login Server Adress to eq2emulator.net
Updated EQ2Emu Version to 7628L.

Now that did not make much sense to me, but for you it might. Maybe something got broken.
I did open the wrong .exe again and had my files verified. It said it found two to download. I did then open the emu patcher to see if it would work. and got the same answer. pressing play will result in the first error that I previously mentioned.
I think i have a box of some game version at some place. But I moved from Norway to Australia, and hoped that this live version would work so I didn't have to go through some clutter to find it. If the answer is to download it again, or copy the whole other live version to a new folder, I can do that. I am getting into this game one way or the other
Hope this had the info you needed.
Sorry to take up your time.
