Spell book ID's
Hey!
Just wondering if there's a list of the spell books in the DB so i can get there ID.
You know, Apprentice I, II, III, IV, V ect. Master II is basically what I'm after tho!
Iv had a quick look in the DB and searched a few of the likely tables but nothing so far.
If they aren't there, is there another way to acquire them? Crafting for instance?
Cheers.

Re: Spell book ID's
The ID of the spell to cast is in the `spells`.`id` table column. In game, /useability {id} will cast that spell or ability. With the current Dev DB, your new characters should get all the tradeskill reactions when they are created. If you grab the weekly updated Dev DB from eq2content SVN, source that file into your database, you should have all the current data we have (including LUA scripts)
https://svn.vgoemulator.net/svn/eq2cont ... ps/dev_db/ user "anonymous", no pwd.
This data should be getting committed to SVN weekly, so check back as often as you want to see new stuff.

Re: Spell book ID's
Thanks, Yeah doing a fresh install of the server files inc that db you linked there. As for skills / spells i looked there but if i remember rightly they had no name, or at least when searched for the "dissolve" spell i couldn't find any entry for it.John Adams wrote:The ID of the spell to cast is in the `spells`.`id` table column. Once the DB has been updated i can check again and if not ill make a scholar tradeskill and see if i cant just make the spell upgrades lol.

Re: Spell book ID's
Dissolve is definitely in our dev DB
Code: Select all
SELECT * FROM `spells` WHERE `name` LIKE '%diss%'; You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Spell book ID's
ooo, Well im blind hahahaha
Aren't they just the spell levels you get when you level up tho? Im looking for the actual "book" to turn a "Dissolve II (apprentice)" into a "Dissolve II (Master II).
Maybe i just suck at explaining lol. Or maybe that stuff isn't ingame anymore? iv not played since EoF client. I did see some spell advancement thing (Maybe AA?) but need to be level 20 first. And or some spell upgrade thing (None of your spells can be upgraded at the moment)

For Navicat users just right click on "Tables" under the EQ2world DB and click find in database.
Much easier than using a query lol, or at least for me! i have found master spell books
:D:D:D:D
Now its time to turn my attention to the server stability lol.
You need to add this helpful snipit to the next tutorial youz do. will save time

Yeah, spell scrolls don't seem to work yet, cant apply it so its not linked to giving you the upgraded version of the spell.

Re: Spell book ID's
In game you can do /itemsearch to bring up a broker window to search all items your server has. As for scribing spells from books it should work, we may not have the data set up for them yet though, will check later today.

Is that what that silly window is. It kept popping up on me and I had no idea why.

Re: Spell book ID's
One thing after another lol. Erm, Yeah so /itemsearch is GREAT! lol, so thank you SOOO much for that and yeah the spell books are ingame but dont seem to work with me, however that being said im a lvl 6 warlock without gaining anymore spells since the starter dissolve spell, so im 99% sure somethings not working there....
Just managed to get the server stable and now the spells have given up lol!
[EDIT]
Tested two classes at level 255.
Shadow knight: gets heroic opportunity
Warden: skills go up to level 14
I guess the skills aren't finished yet then? either that or my skills tables messed up somehow.

Re: Spell book ID's
It sounds like you have an older db, if you get the current from the content SVN (john linked above) it should have all the spells up to level 20, might also fix the spell books.

Re: Spell book ID's
Well that's where i was going wrong then, i was just copying the structs and exe's not all the tables, and as for johns link to the whole DB, well i deleted all the tables last time and it took a good hour or two to add the new ones. And because i thought it was more of a complete DB i stupidly deleted the one i had in favor of a fresh DB, but yeah, didn't bother adding it as the server was stable but I'm adding it now, give it a few hours and ill see whats happening with spells!

Re: Spell book ID's
Ok, updated the database with https://svn.vgoemulator.net/svn/eq2cont ... ps/dev_db/ took a good two hours and now all my starting characters have no spells at all and even on level up have none.
Ill reinstall a fresh install of the db tomorrow lol.

Re: Spell book ID's
Odd, that is what I use and have spells, Beastlord and channelers won't have spells though as we have not implemented the mechanics for those classes yet.
