Hey
After a while the eq2world.exe will stop responding. Iv tried the 64bit and 32bit both run as admin (and not) but it still stops responding. (W7 ultimate 64bit SP1)
Id paste the error but there's no log/report to be found. As for when it occurs, killing mobs and running about new halas.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: EQ2World.exe has stopped working.
Do you notice any one particular thing that is happening when the world crashes? Usually the "logs" folder will have a log in it. Check the last thing in each log before the crash, see if it's always the same quest, always the same NPC (script) or etc...
Secondly, are you using the turn-key ServerPack as it was released last Dec (except for having to have new opcodes/structs for your client)? Your other posts make me think that didn't go smoothly. ServerPack should literally be an unzip, click 3 batch files, and play. Almost zero effort on the players part. Updating the pack can be a pain.
I appreciate your patience with getting this set up. I know it can be frustrating. If I have time today (very busy) I will see about repackaging ServerPack to work with the current live client. Maybe that will solve all your problems.

Re: EQ2World.exe has stopped working.
Hey.
Well nothing in particular, i just handed in a quest and it crashed the server 2/3 times and the 3rd time it logged me out to the char screen and crashed the client.
As for the logs, yeah i seen them but they didn't give me any hint to what was happening, iv deleted them and awaiting a server crash. hopefully you will find something of note in it.
I am using the 1.5 pack and adding in the structs from the latest 0.7.2 as well as the exe's.
Fourthly, only if you have time, there's no posts i can see about 1.5 randomly crashing so it must be something iv done/not done. Ill check the logs after it crashes and see what i can see.
Cheers btw!

Re: EQ2World.exe has stopped working.
When crashes occur sporadically like that, it usually means the client (if it crashes) or the world is receiving data it did not expect. There are not many bugs in EQ2Emu that bring down the world, that are not data related in one way or another. I am starting to suspect it is a mixture of ServerPack + new code/structs/data that is creating the Perfect Storm of Hell for you. Sorry about that
We're definitely here to help. Maybe Jabantiz has other ideas.

Are you in a portion of a zone with a lot of NPC combat, like the third quest hub, great shelf area I think, can't remember the name. If so I blame the memory leak, though I seem to blame that for everything now....
Other then that I have no new ideas to add, just what John said.

Re: EQ2World.exe has stopped working.
Well, good news, servers now stable... well it hasn't crashed and iv managed to get 6 levels and do a good few quests where last time it crashed now its stable. Ill need to get my m8 on so he can attack something, i know that used to crash it 100% of the time.
Now the spells have stopped working i think... im sure there's a spell when you level up (warlock) because im now level 6 and iv still not "gained" a spell, just got the lvl 1 dissolve haha. fix one thing break two more.
Ill report if the world crashes.
