Connecting to EQ2Emu's server

Using the updated serverpack posted by Cynnar on 6/1/2015
Installed the pack in root of C drive [c:/]
Updated SVN structs, SVN eq2world, and Opcodes

Currently stuck in the zone Frostfang sea, every time I click world orb to zone my client crashes. (Probably one of the many bugs Jabantiz said would be there) Quests work (did most of the zone except the ones that said they were not completable yet), Harvesting is good , Ground Spawning "?" nodes return the item to my inventory but will not add to the collection (Target 0.7.4 I can't wait), Mob XP amd Quest XP are good. The Auto Assist button on the pet window flickers, Pet health does not update in the UI window, and the Pet name in the window stays as "?", No mob loot drops (random vendor trash item or coin) on the corpses. Menders, broker, and Banker all work tho the merchants can not buy/sell to/from any of them. The Mail box causes a client crash too. Hey! I can target and kill my own pet too (probably not good I died cause I killed him before the mob haha)

Is there any specific UI that would fix the UI issues?

To Whoever populated the DB for random character pet names, I love them.

I also like the gear Cow!

Going to log onto my server again and play around in some of the other zones (Admin level FTW) Tho more seems broken on my private server then the official test one haha

Thanks for the feedback, some are lack of data, others are bugs possibly related client, will do my best to go over what you pointed out.

Travel globes are limited on data an not even sure most them are set up properly, though it should not cause a crash, the crash is probably a new client issue. /zone should work on the emu server so you can bypass it, though no other zone is as complete as frostfang yet.

Glad quests worked, we tend to have issues with them after updates.

? collectables system is implemented, however there is a serious lack of data to make them useful so in the end there is only about 2 or 3 collectable quests that can be done right now.

Thank you for playing a pet class, don't think I ever got extensive testing since I implemented it. To address your issues with them, the ui is a new client issue so that whole window will be screwed up until the packet structure is figured out again. Being able to attack your own pet is a server core bug, thanks for reporting it.

No loot is again lack of data, we do have a loot system just no data behind it yet. Gear cow was made to get you started before quests start giving gear, and foof wanted to play with voice overs

What is wrong with the merchants? If it is showing an inventory but you still can't buy/sell it is probably a struct issue, if it has no item list it may be lack of data, though you should still be able to sell to it. When you try to buy/sell does your money change at all. It sounds like a new client issue as well from what you said though.

Mail box causing a crash would be a new client issue as well.

Pet names in the DB was compiled with packet collects from live, and we never filtered out custom names so we have a nice wide variety.

If there is a problem with the UI then it is probably a problem with structs for the new client (assuming the ui worked on live) and will be fixed as we fix more structs in the newer clients.

Thanks for the feedback, helps identify immediate struct issues and even a bug.

The merchant window full of gear with the price listed, however when i click buy there is no change in the amount of coin I have nor do I recieve the item. There is no sell option at all. Tho as you pointed out in your last post it is probably from the use of the new client. Ill see what else I can beak today.

As it is partially working, item list with prices, then it is an issue with the structs for the new client. Thanks for getting back on that.

Updated the test server, merchant should now work and the pet window should be better and update. Those were both struct issues.

Mail box and globe should also now work and will no longer crash your client. Those were opcode issues.

Cynnar noticed another opcode issue that was preventing the recipe window from listing known recipes, this has been fixed but now there is a struct issue as well so for now crafting is not working.

Recipe list should now work properly, also fixed an issue in a guild packet and merc packet (won't notice this at all as mercs are not implemented yet)

I added a check that should prevent you from attacking your own pet now, it should be on the emu test server tonight.

I never got the updates pushed through last night like I had planned but they didn't work any way, at least not completely it only prevented melee auto attacks which probably won't effect a pet class any way. I think I got a fix for spells though that will return the "Not an Enemy" error.

Sprint buff icon in the maintained window stays on long after the character has run out of power tho it seems the effect does come off of the character.
Necro spell Vampire Bats(dot) should be visible in the maintained window just like Bloodcoil is

When casting a pet spell, or really any buff it should act as a spell cancel if the spell is already being maintained.

Alright my pet is safe from me killing it! Well mostly anyways an area of effect spell (such as BloodCloud) still kills him tho he is safe targeted spells and melee
Bloodcloud also kills several of the non killable NPCs which I thought would temporarily put and end to questing in Frostfang until they repopped but I could still interact with the corpse of the npc

When I kill a Ry'Gorr Necromancer spiders on Forbidden Ossuary in Frost Fang Sea they provide a lot of xp where they should provide none.

Tho invisible the agro mobs still attack as tho I was not invisible

After finishing his quests the NPC "Blorpisa Bogchild" in Frost Fang Sea keeps a quest turn in icon (Red Book) over his head if you have a quest from him or not. It does seem to go away after some time if you leave his area and return. I just did the next quest from one of the other NPCs and when I returned the icon was gone.

Just noticed the different colored quest feathers for repeatable, tradeskill, etc I like that.

First time I zoned today, maintained spells are not maintained across zones.

Seems I am stuck in world again, perhaps ill just make another account. I always wanted to play a scout class.

Odd, no idea why icons are staying to long or not showing at all. Will look into it.

This should work, or at least it use to. I will check to see if the spell is set up properly.

Forgot about AoE spells, though it looks like they are broken in general if they kill everything around you. Also talking corpses shouldn't happen, will look into removing/blocking the scripts upon death to prevent that.

This is an issue with the way the zone was set up, the spiders are actually NPC's and not actual pets, they will need to be converted to pet spells in the future

No clue how far invis was developed, will have to dig around in it to see what else is needed.

This sounds like the update didn't get pushed to your client, do you know if you were having lag at the time?

I have a hunch this is a deadlock with pets leaving the world (owner logging out or being killed), going to try and track it down but with 2 testers both playing pet classes the server seems to be hanging a lot.

Thanks for all the reports and keep them coming. Also feel free to use /bug in game if it is easier for you.
