Old Opcodes

Post by Gangrenous » Fri Mar 31, 2017 5:30 am

I notice we have packet logs from a long time ago, mainly the ones I am looking at are Frostfang Sea. I notice there are no opcodes for those. This is making me question it, since Frostfang is basically done, even the MP3 keys and speech, we have that. So I cannot parse those logs, but we already have the info on it. How is this? Am I doing something wrong on the packet parser? My parser will clearly not parse these, I even tried using the opcodes from the server itself. Every time I parse those out, I get invalid opcode range. Hell most ones I parse I get that.

So why am I asking? I am parsing the entire EQ2 census and dumping it in a database for future use. I want to match up as much data as I can to help automate quest making better than it is. It would be helpful to have as much parsed data as possible.

Help!! This is for the "Greater Good"

All the opcodes I have are what is on the DB patch server. It is likely that what ever version those logs are from was not a supported client so the opcodes weren't made public.

If they are really old logs it is also likely they won't match the data you see on the server, we create the zones like live and frostfang has been through at least one revamp, possibly more. Same goes for some of the other low level zones, daybreak loves to go back and change stuff.

I really just want all of this to get things like the quest text, mp3 keys, etc.

Jabatiniz....speaking of DB Patcher, since it is not online right now, could you PM me the SQL INSERTS/UPDATES for opcodes after 61608?
61608 is the last version that came down from the update server.
