Combat formulas

Post by LethalEncounter » Tue Jan 15, 2008 4:09 pm

Anyone know a site that has some good information about how the combat formulas on live work? Or maybe someone knows exactly how damage and skills are calculated. I want to code the combat system as close to live as I can and to do that I need to gather as much information as possible :) Please let me know, otherwise I will just make up my own formulas.

The GU29 Notes are awesome. I just used it to add falling damage to the game. Thanks. :D

I run ACT, its a combat log parser, think you can grab the info you need from there? it lists pretty much everything.

ACT is an excellent combat parser. It tells you who did what damage and by what means that damage was done, and with a little calculation, you can figure out how much health and mana a mob has. A good idea that was intodesi :)
