I see some zone entrances (guild hall entrance) as a widget
and some as (entrance to SQ form NQ) as a sign
what is the proper way to spawn a zone entrance door or grate or what ever it happens to be
i want to try and be consistant
zone entrances

Re: zone entrances
These match how live sends them, a widget can only pop up a list/map for you to zone to while a sign is mostly you click it and zone right over.

Oh wow! I didn't know this. So a zone like The Hollow Hedge would use a widget because it needs a list to show the multiple instances.

Re: zone entrances
I believe a sign can do both, widget can only show a list however. If you need something to pop up when you mouse over then you will need a sign. I have no clue why they do some as signs and some as widgets but live has never really been consistent on how the dev things, to me it seems like a sign is the best bet to go with when adding your own zone point but as we deal with the data we got from live we need to deal with both sign and widget.
