Older Zones

I like the older Freeport zones, before they were combined into one zone. The problem I'm having is finding a zone file without the destruction in the city. I tried the zone files from my various discs. I backed up the live files and placed the zone files from the discs in their place, and tho they loaded correctly there were holes in the world. I tried the files from the silver tin collectors edition, Trial of the Isle, Shadow Odyssey, and Destiny of Velious. Anyone have any ideas how I can get around this?

What is it exactly you are trying to do? The files for the older zones are still there. All you need to do is /zone to it. /zone list (partial name of done) ex. /zone list Darklight.

Yah the 4 Freeport zones are still there, tho they were changed from launch when the dragons attacked the cities. There is some damage in the city (fallen pillars etc) and I want to go back to before the damage.

Those are not the original zones?

I don't think it's possible, if it is it's not easy, to replace those files with older ones. If it was easy, we could add the revamped zones to older clients like DoV and use those new zones. [mention]John Adams[/mention] or [mention]Jabantiz[/mention] can answer better than I on that.

The zones off of the DoF discs work perfectly. I backed up the 4 files. fpt_east, fpt_north, fpt_south, and fpt_west. and copied over the files from the DoF install into the client last updated Jan 10, 2018 and the zone files work perfect. (Tried 7 different installs to find one without holes in it)

Be aware of you intend for others to play on your server that they will have to have a DoV install to get the files for those zones. It's illegal to give them out.

Yeah it's a pickle.
The options are to only allow DoV, or use the older zones provided with like live client.
