Out of morbid curiosity, I looked into the state of Alternate Advancements. The code looked in place, but the tables were empty. I figured this was just because we never committed any data ( see the last 11 pages of convo

) and much to my surprise, and across multiple archived databases I have for EQ2Emu, I found
spell_traits,
spell_aa_class_list and
spell_aa_nodelist data. However, I think the "spell_traits" [mention]Zcoretri[/mention] did years ago no longer line up with the current `spells` table data (that 1,000,000 id range stuff).
Regardless, loading my local DB up with these scattered bits of data, and I have screen displays in DOV client (1096).
So, for part 1, woot.
I am having 2 other issues I need a reminder of... first, and it could be the data still, when my toon loads I get spammed with missing spells info for the 1,000,000 - 1,000,044 spells - even though manually looking at the spells data I see them just fine (and they are set to is_active=1, if that even still has an affect).

The "tabs" show loading something, yet I do not see it in the screen, which is problem #2 remaining. Note my screenshot, the other tabs show nothing but the default UI placeholder text. And clicking on one of those tabs tells me "
You do not have the required expansion to use this tree."
So, anyone remember this system and what trick there is to getting it to fill out entirely? I'm sick of working on the portal, so I need a distraction

Thought I'd go through the code and see what is and is not implemented (and what still works vs what no longer does).
PS: There's a ton of loggers commented out, I am putting back in and setting to a higher debug level. I think these debuggers come in handy, and might have saved me some time if I saw them 6 hours ago
