Mostly posting this because I've never seen it -ever- before running a game client. This was immediately after a reboot. I'm just short of re-installing my entire OS.
Out of Memory
This happened after I selected my toon to enter the world, as you see it was counting spawns. Just FYI, not sure anything can be done here.

I have seen that error plenty

Basically it was just a corrupt packet the client tried to load. There was probably a dynamic 32 bit field for which the client tried to grab enough memory.

Yah,it wouldnt typically happen to most people but I tend to mess around with the network code quite a bit.

Playing on Live, I've run into this bug MANY times, especially when running through South Qeynos. Not surprisingly, SoE blames the user-end computer, and now we know the truth! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!

But like almost all crashes in EQ2, there can be several reasons for it to die. The out of memory problem can be caused by a bad packet (especially if it is trying to grab huge amounts of memory), or it could just be a problem with the game. I started encountering it earlier this week when I was just standing still in a single location for too long.

Yup, I'd have a char crash for various reasons just standing still too with no server activity. But hopefully that's all behind us now.
