Followed the Guides...Still No Log-in

Post by Kittik » Sun Oct 27, 2019 5:27 pm

Getting xul.dll and nspr4.dll missing erros.

I followed the guides. Downloaded the UI and Files and EmuPatcher but nothing is working.

I'm setting the Emu patchier to the (Current) version, so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.

I even copied all the files to a new folder c:\EQ2Emu clients. I downloaded from Steam and copied all the files from steam default to the new folder.

I have both my accounts created also....but I'm not even getting to that step so...

Simplest way is to download from steam and then don't touch anything after that and use the launcher on tools svn.

Or download from steam, go to the folder you installed at and modify eq2_default.ini to point to our login server then run EverQuest2.exe (DO NOT run EQ2.exe)

The steps about patcher and ui is for older clients like the DoV box. You shouldn't need to do any of that with the steam client.

Ok, I will delete everything and re-download from Steam and follow your suggestions.

I'll let you know what happens.

Of course this will all be after work this evening.

How do I point it to your log-in server?

Like John pointed out, go to eq2_default.ini and find the cl_ls_address line and remove the ip's after it and put eq2emulator.net. Save then run EverQuest2.exe, you will get a pop up for user/pass which is the login account info not the forum info.

Again do not run EQ2.exe as that will start the patch process and can very quickly start patching files making the client unusable for the emulator.
