Just a place to put down my ideas of what I would want to modify from how Live currently work. Just my personal views.
1) Achievements should be boosted
I would make achievements more visual in game. When a character is created (or possibly make it an account thing) the character (or account) is issued an achievement house. This house could be a small house initially and it may increase in size as the character progress through acievements.
Each time you achieve something in game (complete a significant quest line, finish a major collection, finish one of the acievements already in game, anything achievable really) something is added to your house. E.g. quest rewards are displayed in the house, if you have collected every single armor piece of a certain armor set a mannequin is added showing the armor, important NPCs become house actors in your house (they just came by for a quick visit to thank you for your deeds), when you have killed 10000 trigger fish you now have a trigger fish swimming around your pond, etc.).
Special quests could be initiated from NPC 'visitors' to your achievement house.
People should be able to visit your achievement house and awe at the many achievements you have made.
Lot of the LoN/Marketplace items could be added as rewards to achievements as most of them don't have in-game rewards.
2) Daily grind should be minimized
Gaming should be fun. Today EQ2 players often have a long list of mundane chores they do on x number of alts each day (check mercenary training, mount training, pack horses, guild harvestors, daily quests for tokens, etc). Most often the time sink here is actually logging between alts. Preferably some of these could be reduced to a simple click ('Perform all daily routines and alts' (you get a report of any progress made) or if a more RP solution is prefered you could go to a NPC and ask him to make sure all your routine tasks are done (your butler).
3) Gameplay additions could be expanded upon
Various expansions have added a ton of different mechanisms to the game just to let them collect dust (Dungeon Maker, extra tradeskill abilities, deity system, etc.) These systems could be modified/added upon.
4) Quest journal for questaholics
I remember a guy that had a site that listed all quests in a zone (EQ2U later took this up and has the same functionality). This guy later made a journal UI that auto-updated your characters quest progress on his site. I loved this as a quest completenist. We could go all in here and have a page directly in the quest journal that lists all quests in a given zone and updates your progress.
5) No parses
A return to the days before EQ2Maps made exploring bland, and before Parses removed the mystic about abilities (and also introduced the constant class balance threads 'hey, my class is supposed to be T1 Damage dealer and these last parses shows that the *insert class* in my guild repeatedly out performs me..') Parses should not be possible and we could even consider making things like EQ2Map not working. Controversial, yet perhaps better for the game experience?

Yes, Fluffy was the name. I used his site as a check list to make sure I got every quest done in a zone.
