Wow this is amazing...EQ2 and now Vanguard I am in Heaven! WOOT! It justs sad how long it will take before its playable =(...I will be broke by then lol...something to look foward to thought!!!how did WOW emus get done so quickly and EQ 1 is still in the making after all these years? Its seems like WOW was over night...

WoW emulators have literally 100's of people in the community all helping with core and DB dev. EQ, EQ2, EVE, and other projects seem to have extremely limited involvement. Think of it this way; there are 10mil+ people worldwide who play WoW. There's probably no more than 1 million who play EQ, EQ2 and EVE combined. 
Maybe I am low-balling it, but still... that's the difference.

He isn't kidding, been hard at work on it. But as always, the newer these games, the more complicated they are and take longer to develop an emulator for. EQ2EMu has come a long way since its first alpha release but there is so much involved in EQ2 it will be a good time before it is 'done' (just look at EQEMu). I am not saying this to discourage in anyway, just these teams that build the games consist of 50-100 people (atleast), just assume atleast 20-30 are dedicated to the server creation (code and database). Same deal is with vanguard, he has a lot to work on
